Snow Day Party

I am thrilled yet again to be working with Mister Domestic to launch his Snow Day fabric line. When I saw the fabrics, I knew immediately I wanted to make a quilt for my mom – she’s a January baby and loves blue.

Aren’t these fabrics beautiful? I was so excited to get my fabrics that I cut right into them without taking a picture first.

I designed this quilt to look like tracks in the snow and added the gold to look like the sunrise on a snowy hillside. Sadly, due to shipping delays I don’t have the quilt completed yet (might be a Valentine’s Day gift for her?). Hopefully by then, the weather will cooperate and I’ll have a snowy backdrop for some pictures.

These blocks are big – 18” and go together quickly. The seams nest when sewn together and pressed properly (not saying I had to get my seam ripper out to fix one or two). The quilt as shown here finishes at 70” x 90” and uses 12 fat quarters + some yardage.

The pattern is called “Snow Tracks” and will be released Valentine’s Day.
