Rainbow Ridge

I can finally share my first huge accomplishment of 2020. One of my quilt patterns will be published in the March/April issue of Quiltmaker magazine. I received my advanced copy in the mail and I’m still absolutely gobsmacked to see my picture and my quilt in those pages.

Yes, I took a picture of it in the magazine! I’m a nerd like that.

This is my quilt, Rainbow Ridge. In a 2-page Designer Spotlight, I share my design process of how this quilt came to be. I go into brief detail of the sentiment behind this quilt – a baby born after a loss is called a Rainbow Baby, and this quilt is anxiously awaiting my rainbow babe. (Less than 6 weeks to go, if you can believe that!)

Again, please forgive the iPhone picture of a magazine page – I’m 34 weeks pregnant. Getting good photos of my quilts is getting difficult!

I’ve shared my story of loss here before, but if you’re new to my blog, you can find it here.

The March/April issue of Quiltmaker is available now in stores if you do not have a subscription. If you do make a version of this quilt, please share it with me online by tagging me on instagram @coffee_and_quilts or using #rainbowridge.
