…and I can finally share it! I am beyond thrilled to finally be able to share that I’m a fabric designer! This has been a dream of mine almost as long as I’ve been quilting. I’m struggling to even write this now because I still can’t believe this dream has come true. Honestly, after seeing a collection with my name on it in the Wilmington Prints Fall 2025 Look Book I had to lie down on the ground. It was so incredible I couldn’t even hold my body upright.
I’ve recovered just enough to share my first collection, Cottage Reverie. Pretty flowers, dramatic neutrals, and gorgeous tone on tone blender fabrics, it’s everything I like in fabric. And Wilmington Prints is so amazing, they’ve designed a Block of the Month using this collection! This is a queen-size, 96” x 106” quilt perfect for confident beginners. Should we do a quilt along? A series of videos? Let me know what you’d like to see!

Of course, I’ve designed several 3-yard quilts to go along with this collection, but those will stay secret so my Coffee Break Club members get to see them first. I’ve got a few new pre-cut friendly patterns. These were a delightful challenge for me to design since I’ve spent so much time working on 3-yard quilts.
(Quilt shop owners- if you’d like to purchase any of these patterns for sale in your shop, please email me to set up a wholesale account).
First up is Cottage Trio. This is a trio of quilt variations all rolled into one pattern. This uses the 40-Karat Crystals 2 ½” x 44” strips. I actually designed Version 3 first, but when I started writing the instructions, I thought not everyone would want to make a quilt in which the first step is “Make 224 Half-Square Triangles.” Version 1 came next, but that one struck me as a little plain. Version 2 was my compromise. Then I couldn’t decide which version was my favorite, so I included all 3 in my pattern.

Next is Petal Pathways. This is a 10-Karat Crystals 10” square friendly pattern. I knew I wanted to add a pop of color to some of my patterns and Wilmington Prints has a gorgeous catalog of Essentials fabrics to choose from. I kept coming back to this orange Dry Brush fabric. In the spring it’ll remind me of fresh fruit and budding blossoms and in the fall it’ll have classy Halloween vibes. And of course, I love a good ombre quilt.

Finally, I have Starry Walk. This is a Fat Quarter friendly quilt pattern perfect for showing off these gorgeous prints. I stuck with black and white as the accent fabrics, large star blocks, and a strip-pieced sashing to have a high impact. Easy piecing (my favorite four-at-a-time Flying Geese) will have these thirteen blocks whipped up in a snap.

I’ll get these patterns listed as PDF downloads in my online shop shortly. Printed patterns are available for quilt shops to purchase. Quilt shop owners can email me at heather (at) coffeeandquilts (dot) com for these patterns or any others.
These fabrics are being shown to shops now and expected delivery is April 2026. I can’t wait to share more with you all.

Congratulations, Heather. YOU DID IT!!! Beautiful fabric collection.
