About

I’m Heather Long of Coffee and Quilts, LLC. I’m a married mama of three and quilter of over 20 years, designer of 7 years, and now a fabric designer for Wilmington Prints.

I dove back into quilting after a major health issue, and I find a lot of truth in the saying, “When life is scrappy, make quilts.”

Quilting and designing are my way of creating beauty from chaos. I’ve worked with Henry Glass Fabrics as a Desire to Inspire designer, designed for the Moda Bake Shop, and appeared on the American Patchwork & Quilting podcast with Pat Sloan. I’ve also had patterns published in Quiltmaker magazine, Quilt Sampler magazine, and Fons & Porters Quick & Easy Quilts.

  1. Nice to meet you a Heather who loves coffee and Quilts. I found your blog on the Henry Glass blog and had to respond because I just finished a quilt last night and am sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee while reading your blog.

  2. I enjoyed your story in Quiltmaker very much. I have been looking for a quilt for my granddaughter to give to her teachers and think your Rainbow Ridge is going to be perfect!

    1. Thank you so much! I’ve added it as a PDF download on my shop page. If you’d like a printed copy of the pattern, you may purchase from thequiltedcow.com. Thank you again 🙂

  3. Hello, I placed my first order with you yesterday for 4 downloadable patterns yesterday. I received your free pattern and and my receipt from PayPal but have not received my patterns. I checked my junk emails and didn’t see them there either.

Please advise how to get them.

    1. Hi there! You can click on the PayPal button for payment and then use your credit card there, even without a paypal account.
